Do you hear "P-L-U-N-J" and think, "Eww, cold... dreadful...hard."?

So did Ali Vallarta, host of City Cast Salt Lake.

Like many first timers though, she took the PLUNJ anyway.

What did she think?

"I was so impressed...Cold plunges are popping up all over this city, it feels. The phenomenon has arrived here. I had never cold-plunged before."

Again, not an uncommon response from our first time guests.

Why was she so impressed?

 "First of all, it's gorgeous. So you have like kind of this little room. There's multiple [studios] and you go into this [studio] and there's a hot sauna. And then, it's a dry sauna with rocks and they come in and pour water on the rocks with different essential oils. And then there's a cold plunge and then there's a [Scandinavian] bucket shower! Like, you know, the one where you pull the little string and it empties the bucket of water. And yeah, there's like a really charming bucket shower...And you have an hour in the space. So you ideally three different times do hot sauna, bucket shower, cold plunge, hot sauna, bucket shower, cold plunge, hot sauna, bucket shower, cold plunge...

So yea, the space is pretty cool. It's NOT just a cold plunge.

What was the outcome, how did she feel after?

 "By the end, I felt... crazy. Like I was like, I feel like my heart is never been stronger. And my aura was fully cleared. There's like, you know, tea, there's like tea and water and little like kind of snacky area. It was so cool.

Ok, so that's all good and grand for Alli.

Why should you come visit?

The, the way, the thing that's different about it, I think is just like the combo of the hot and cold therapy. And it was fun. Like I went with two friends and we just, we were like gabbing and making the most of it. And like, I don't know. It felt like a fun hangout, like an activity...
