Bathhouse or spa, and why it matters

Bathhouses are traditionally communal, focused on contrast (hot and cold), with strong cultural roots in the Nordics, Japan, Korea, Russia and beyond.
A spa is for relaxation, pampering, wellness that often involves some type of treatment, especially in luxury.
So, what is PLUNJ Salt Lake?
Well, ChatGPT opines...
"PLUNJ sits are the intersection of bathhouse and spa, borrowing the best from both without fully becoming either. That tension is actually part of what makes the experience unique..."
Exactly.
PLUNJ is intentionally a communal space, where you can move freely between "treatments".
That's coupled with our hosts, who engage guests in conversation and pampering (towels, loyly, electrolyte drinks, cleaning, etc.).
As a bathhouse, expect simplicity. Minimal design--and interruptions.
As a spa, expect individual attention. Request a favorite scent, more steam (loyly), extra towels, drinks, etc.
Our goal is guests leave the happiest people in the world! We're not perfect, and the experience isn't the perfect mix for everyone.
With your 275+ Google Reviews we're hearing what works, and doubling down there. And, always open to more feedback.
That's how we got to a sharable membership offering, LAGOM / LAGOM+, that's unlike any other bathhouse / spa.
Whether we're your kind of bathhouse, or spa, or something in-between, we look forward to hosting you at the corner of Utopia and Main St soon.
